Andrew R. Lynch is an attorney at The Lynch Law Group in Decatur, Georgia. He has over 13 years of legal experience serving clients with criminal defense matters and personal injury matters. Serving clients throughout the state of Georgia, he has taken on cases such as felony and misdemeanor crimes, DUI, drug trafficking, felony drug charges, theft, burglary, domestic violence and so on.
With a genuine concern for his clients who are criminally accused, Mr. Lynch is a tenacious and fierce litigator. He provides top-notch representation and has an unwavering commitment to his clients’ needs. He understands the negative impacts of being charged with a crime and he fights fiercely for his clients’ rights.
With a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from the University of Georgia, Terry College of Business, Mr. Lynch earned his Juris Doctor from the Georgia State University College of Law. While in law school, he graduated with honors in advanced criminal procedure and litigation. He was also the recipient of the Pro Bono Award with the highest distinction.
Mr. Lynch served as a clerk at the Federal Defender Program, Inc., in Atlanta, the Center for Capital Litigation in Columbia, South Carolina, and the Dekalb County Public Defender’s Office. After graduating from law school, he worked as a criminal defense attorney at the Dekalb County Public Defender’s Office, where he gained invaluable experience with felony and misdemeanor cases.
Mr. Lynch graduated from the Bill Daniel’s Trial Advocacy Program, an intensive training program for criminal defense attorneys. Mr. Lynch his admitted to practice in all Georgia courts including the Georgia Supreme Court, Court of Appeals, Federal District Court, Superior Court, State Court, Magistrate Court, Recorder’s Court and Municipal Court.
Actively affiliated with the legal community, Mr. Lynch is a member of the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, the Georgia Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, the Georgia Trial Lawyers Association, The National College of DUI Defense, Inc. and the GACDL’s Educational Services Committee. He is a member of the State Bar of Georgia and its Young Lawyers Division’s executive counsel.

- H.K. as father of J.K- $10,146,515.24 Judgment- Car Wreck, DUI, Traumatic Brain Injury, DeKalb State Court, Georgia (Civil Action Number 18A68967-7) H.K.’s family moved to DeKalb County from Syria. His nine-year-old son was getting onto a school bus when a drunk driver fleeing other accidents jumped the curb and struck J.K. J.K. suffered numerous broken bones and a traumatic brain injury. H.K. hired Andrew to help his family. It took years, but Andrew was able to get a DeKalb County court to award H.K. $8,146,515.24 for J.K.'s past and future legal damages. The Court also added $2,000,000 in punitive damages to punish the Defendant for his drunk driving. The total judgment of the court was $10,146,515.24. A second lawsuit has been filed to recover the entire judgment against the insurance company that insured Defendant on the date of the wreck., 2021
- Estate of MG v. Driver: A mother of four was struck and killed. Andrew represented her four minor children and recovered $150,000, significantly more than the insurance covering the claim., 2020
- Margie T v. Confidential Business: Margie T's son was killed while at a gas station. Across the street there was a known poorly run gas station. This business settled Margie T's wrongful death claim for $870,000., 2020
- DA v. Confidential Business: DA was shot on the grounds of a shopping center. The case was resolved for over $500,000., 2020
- MA v. Confidential business: MA was shot on the grounds of a shopping center. The case was resolved for over $700,000., 2020
- State v. DS. was prosecuted for multiple counts of drug trafficking. Through pretrial motions to suppress all charges were dismissed by the State. DS was potentially facing decades of incarceration., 2018
- KG v. Major Car Rental Company. KG returned a vehicle in time and the vehicle was not properly accounted for by the car rental company. Twenty-six days later the company requested KG be arrested for stealing their rental car. The Company, prior to KG's arrest, received actual knowledge the vehicle was returned and failed to warn KG of the warrant's existence or withdraw the warrant. KG was arrested. Andrew was able to have the criminal case dismissed within hours and then sued all parties to KG arrest. The case was resolved in a settlement for $235,000, 2019
- $3,400,000.00 settlement; Premises liability crime victim litigation. Additional information confidential, 2017
- $5,200,000. Largest personal injury trial verdict in the Federal Court of Georgia in 2017. Mr. Rinehart suffered a spinal injury from a third-floor balcony fall. Mr. Rinehart's injuries were permanent and catastrophic. The trial verdict reflected the jury holding Defendant liable for their negligence, 2016
