Robert N. Katz

Robert N. Katz is the founder of Katz Personal Injury Lawyers in Decatur, Georgia, where he represents individuals and families dealing with serious injuries, wrongful death and other significant legal challenges. His practice includes personal injury, auto and trucking accidents, medical malpractice, nursing home abuse, premises liability, and product liability.

Mr. Katz brings decades of legal experience to his work, providing clients with guidance through the legal process following accidents, injuries and other life-changing events. His approach is centered on understanding the circumstances of each matter and helping clients pursue their legal rights with informed counsel.

The academic journey of Mr. Katz started with him earning his bachelor’s degree, graduating cum laude, from the University of Georgia in 1984 before attending the University of Georgia School of Law. He received his Juris Doctor, graduating cum laude, in 1987, establishing the educational foundation for his legal career. That same year, he was admitted to practice law in Georgia and later expanded his bar admissions to Tennessee in 2010.

Throughout his career, Mr. Katz has maintained active involvement in professional organizations and the legal community. He is a member of the State Bar of Georgia, the American Association for Justice, the Georgia Trial Lawyers Association and the Lawyers Club of Atlanta. He is also a member of the DeKalb Bar Association, where he previously served as president, reflecting his involvement in the local legal community.

Beyond his professional affiliations, Mr. Katz has participated in organizations supporting families and children. He previously served as president of the Atlanta chapter of Families with Children from China, contributing his leadership to an organization focused on supporting families connected through international adoption.
