Ellene Welsh

Ellene Welsh is the founder of the Law Office of Ellene Welsh in Douglasville and Columbus, Georgia. She represents clients in the Atlanta metro area as well as in her hometown of Columbus and the surrounding west Georgia, east Alabama area in Social Security Disability and workers' compensation matters.  

Graduating from Emory University in Atlanta with a major in history, Ms. Welsh went on to earn her Juris Doctor from the Mercer University School of Law in Macon, Georgia, in 1985. She then passed the bar exam and was licensed to practice in Georgia the same year. 

A licensed professional for more than three decades, Ms. Welsh has a vast knowledge of the law and high ethical standards. Recognized by the legal community for her achievements and quality services, she has been peer-review rated as AV Preeminent* through Martindale-Hubbell. Moreover, she has a 10 out of 10 rating on Avvo, in addition to plenty of positive client reviews and peer endorsements.

Rooted in Columbus, Georgia, Ms. Welsh began her career as a judicial clerk for the Douglas County Superior Court, following which she worked for a workers' compensation law firm in Columbus until 1991. Since the founding of her firm, she has represented numerous clients in complex workers' compensation and Social Security Disability claims. She guides them through the entire legal process, helping them get the benefits they need and deserve.
