Josh Teague

The founder of Teague Law - The Josh Teague Firm in East Ellijay, Georgia, Josh Teague is determined to help those who do not have the resources to defend themselves. He represents clients in many legal matters, including: 

·       Criminal law – Drug crimes, expungement, fraud, gun crimes, internet crimes, sex crimes, theft, violent crimes and criminal appeals

Licensed to practice in Georgia since 2010, Mr. Teague has spent most of his life studying and practicing law. With the strong work ethic inculcated into him by his family, he always explores every option to help his clients in an efficient manner. He is an empathetic and understanding attorney who fiercely advocates for his clients who are accused of wrongdoing or injured because of someone else’s negligent actions.

In 2006, Mr. Teague graduated cum laude from Kennesaw State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in social science education. He later attended the Florida Coastal School of Law in 2010, receiving his Juris Doctor in 2010. During his time in law school, he clerked for two superior court judges and interned at the United States Attorney’s Office, and he received the Book Award in criminal law.

Being recognized for his work by many organizations, Mr. Teague was included in The National Advocates Top 40 Under 40 and The National Trial Lawyers – Top 100 Trial Lawyers. He was also included in the Top 10 Under 40 list by the National Academy of Criminal Defense Lawyers. He is rated AV Preeminent* through Martindale-Hubbell, the organization’s highest peer-review rating. He also has received a “Superb” rating on Avvo. 

Mr. Teague is affiliated with many prominent legal organizations, including the State Bar of Georgia, the National College for DUI Defense, the National Academy of Criminal Defense Attorneys, the Georgia Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers and the Gerry Spence Trial Lawyers College. Moreover, he conducts continuing legal education seminars across various platforms to educate other attorneys on various trial techniques such as cross-examination.
