Mr. Poole served as an U.S. Army Infantryman from 2005 to 2008, after which, he graduated from the University of North Georgia with a B.A. in political science. While there, he was a member of the Pi Sigma Alpha Honor Society and the Student Veterans of America. He then decided to study law and joined the Georgia State University College of Law, where he participated in the Mock Trial team and was a member of the Urban Fellows Program. Earning his law degree in 2014, he gained the license to practice law in Georgia the same year.

Active in his local community, Mr. Poole maintains memberships with the Gainesville-Northeastern Bar Association, the Gainesville Orr Inn of Court and the Leadership Hall County Class of 2016. His pro bono activities include serving on the board of the Gainesville Jaycees and the Gateway Domestic Violence Center. Furthermore, he volunteers as a legal food frenzy organizer at the Atlanta Community Food Bank.
