Candace Williams is the founding attorney of Candace M. Williams, P.C., in Gainesville, Georgia. She focuses her practice on all aspects of family law. She provides compassionate yet results-driven counsel in matters involving divorce, child custody, alimony, annulments, collaborative family law and related domestic relations issues. Known for her skill in both negotiation and litigation, she guides her clients through some of life’s most difficult transitions with clarity, dedication and strength.
Ms. Williams earned her Juris Doctor from Mississippi College School of Law, graduating in the top 20% of her class. During law school, she excelled in advocacy, advancing to the semifinals of the American Bar Association’s National Moot Court Competition. She was also recognized in Who’s Who Among American Law Students and graduated with academic honors. Prior to law school, she completed her undergraduate studies at Brenau Women’s College in Gainesville, Georgia, where she received her Bachelor of Arts in political science and history, cum laude.
Since beginning her practice, Ms. Williams has been admitted to the State Bar of Georgia, the Georgia Supreme Court, the Georgia Court of Appeals and the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Georgia. She has held leadership roles in the Gainesville Bar Association and served as president of the Young Lawyers Division of the Northeastern Judicial Circuit of Georgia.
Ms. Williams’s dedication and professionalism have earned her repeated recognition. She has been named among Georgia’s Legal Elite in family law, honored as one of the Top 10 Family Lawyers in the State of Georgia, and most recently included in the Best of Georgia, Family Lawyers 2023.
