Candace M. Williams is a Family Lawyer entering her 23rd year practicing family law throughout Northeast Georgia. She has assisted thousands of clients in resolving their family law issues. Ms. Williams was born and raised in Gainesville Georgia. She attended Brenau Women’s College graduated with high honors in 1997, Moving to Washington DC to serving as a legislative assistant to former Congressman Bob Barr (R-Ga). Ms. Williams attended law school at Mississippi College school of law, “the Princeton of the south,” and graduating with high honors and accolades in two and a half years. She returned to her hometown and became an associate attorney at Coleman & Chambers, LLP. She quickly became the first female partner of Coleman & Chambers, LLP. Ms. Williams also became a named partner and managed the Family Law Department for six-plus years. Over the course of her career, Ms. Williams has trained interns, paralegals, and associate attorneys. Ms. Williams has tried hundreds of cases all over Northeast Georgia. Ms. Williams ventured into solo-practice in January 2018, focusing her attention on direct personal client attention, affordable retainers, with exceptional service. Ms. Williams has extensive experience with all matters pertaining to family law, including divorce, child custody and support, visitation, spousal support, modifications, paternity, and post-divorce issues such as estate planning and probate. She has helped clients come to agreeable resolutions outside the courtroom through mediation and negotiation but aggressively defends her clients, when necessary, particularly when it comes to domestic violence and protective orders. She is also well versed in representing children’s interests in interstate custody and support matters with the Uniform Child Custody Jurisdiction and Enforcement Act.
Ms. Williams is a tireless soldier for children. Her absolute primary focus is the best interest of children in her practice. Ms. Williams is a devoted mother to her daughter and an extremely active parent. Ms. Williams frequently gives her free time to her daughter's school, Mt. Vernon Elementary, through volunteer work. Ms. William’s daughter is an active equestrian at Hillmar Equestrian farm where Ms. Williams is an active participant. Ms. Williams volunteers for the Georgia Hunter Jumper Association (GHJA), and the United States Hunter Jumper Association (USHJA). In her free time, you will see her spending time with her daughter, horse showing across the east coast, and being with her beloved dogs Jack a Boston terrier, George a Yorki, Gigi a French bulldog, Lieka a welch corgi, and their champion pony Winter Rain. She enjoys working out and interior decorating, specially designing Christmas trees. Ms. Williams designs custom Christmas trees for multiple businesses, and friends during the Christmas season, it is always a sight to see.
