Graham McKinnon, IV

Graham McKinnon IV is a distinguished attorney at Fox, Chandler, Hicks, McKinnon & Cassert LLP in Gainesville, Georgia. With a focus on personal injury, criminal law and civil litigation, he has built a notable career since joining the firm in 1992. He serves clients across the Gainesville area.

Mr. McKinnon graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree from Presbyterian College in 1985. He completed his Juris Doctor degree at Georgia State University College of Law in 1989 and became licensed to practice law.

Mr. McKinnon has devoted his career to representing clients in both civil and criminal matters across state and federal courts in Georgia and Alabama. His legal practice is particularly focused on criminal defense, benefiting from his experience as a former prosecutor. He has defended a wide array of cases, including driving under the influence (DUI) offenses, violent felonies, sex offenses and white collar crimes. In addition to his criminal defense work, he is passionate about civil litigation, assisting clients in contract disputes and personal injury cases.

Since 2008, Mr. McKinnon has served as a municipal court judge in Braselton and began his role as a judge in Flowery Branch in 2022. In 2025, he was named Chief Municipal Court Judge in Mulberry, Georgia.  His contributions to the legal community also include serving as president of the Gainesville-Northeastern Bar Association and The E. Beyond his professional responsibilities, Mr. McKinnon is actively involved in community service. He has held leadership roles on the boards of various organizations, including North House, Quinlan Visual Arts Center and United Way.
