Joseph D. Summer

An attorney focusing his practice solely on criminal defense, Joseph D. Summer serves the residents of Georgia through the Gainesville-based legal firm, Summer & Summer, Attorneys at Law. After receiving his bar license from the State Bar of Georgia in 2016, he started practicing law at the firm and provides his service to people who are facing charges such as:

From the University of Georgia, Mr. Summer received his bachelor’s degree in management information systems and technology, summa cum laude, in 2012. He held numerous positions at the university, and was also actively involved in various societies, such as the Golden Key International Honor Society, the New Media Society and the Phi Kappa Literary Society. He later earned his Juris Doctor from the University of Georgia School of Law in 2016. He worked as an intern at several judicial circuit offices, gaining experience in legal research. He also was the editor of the Journal of Intellectual Property Law and has a publication on cannabis patents under his name. 

Mr. Summer began his career at the firm right after he graduated from law school. Since then, he has handled thousands of felony and misdemeanor cases. With the knowledge and experience garnered throughout his career, he is able to foresee the issues that might arise and mitigate them accordingly.
