Jody L. Sellers

With more than twelve (12) years of professional legal experience, Jody L. Sellers is a seasoned trial attorney based in Georgia with a broad practice encompassing family law, criminal defense, and personal injury, as well as other legal matters such as estate planning and social security disability cases.

Born in Tifton, Georgia, and raised in LaGrange, Georgia, Mr. Sellers excelled academically. At the University of Georgia, he secured a Bachelor of Arts in political science with a minor in anthropology, graduating cum laude in 2008. His academic journey culminated at Mercer University School of Law, where he graduated cum laude in 2011. During his time at the law school, he was a co-senior managing editor of the Mercer Law Review, vice-president of the Legal Aid Volunteer Association, and a staff writer for the Mercer Law Free Press. His exceptional grasp of family law was recognized with the Custer-Tuggle Award of Excellence from the Georgia Chapter of the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers.

Before founding The Sellers Law Firm, LLC, Mr. Sellers honed his legal skills as the managing attorney at a private firm’s branch in Griffin, Georgia, overseeing a diverse range of cases. He is admitted to practice in Georgia and is an active, respected member of the State Bar of Georgia.

Mr. Sellers’ contributions to the legal community are extensive. He has been honored multiple times by Super Lawyers as a Rising Star and Georgia Trend magazine’s Legal Elite and holds memberships in prestigious organizations, including the Criminal Trial Lawyers’ Association and the American Association of Premier DUI Attorneys.
