Rachel L. Platt has earned a reputation as a dedicated and knowledgeable attorney, receiving numerous awards and commendations throughout her career.  Ms. Platt is the founder of The Platt Law Firm in Roswell, Georgia, and she works hard to achieve favorable outcomes for her family law clients throughout the Atlanta metropolitan area, including practicing in Fulton, Cobb, Dekalb, Cherokee, Forsyth and Gwinnett Counties. Ms. Platt focuses primarily on divorce, child custody and adoption cases, and she is also a Guardian ad Litem and certified mediator.  

As an undergraduate, Ms. Platt attended the University of Georgia and earned a Bachelor of Science in 2000. She then pursued her legal studies at the University of Colorado School of Law, where she was a member of the Women’s Law Caucus and worked with the Civil Legal Aid Clinic. Ms. Platt received her Juris Doctor in 2004 and was licensed to practice in the state of Georgia the same year.

Ms. Platt founded the Platt Law Firm in 2008 and has been practicing exclusively Family Law since that time.   Georgia Trend Magazine named Ms. Platt one of Georgia’s Legal Elite in the realm of family law in 2009, 2012, 2016, 2018 and 2019.
