With over 12 years of experience, he has negotiated several plea deals and pursued reductions and dismissals of criminal charges. After completing his Bachelor of Arts at the University of Maryland in 2006, Mr. Fitzgerald obtained his Juris Doctor from the Mercer University School of Law, where he was awarded a Certificate in Advanced Legal Writing, Research and Drafting. He is licensed to practice in both the state and federal courts of Georgia.
Mr. Fitzgerald worked at a well-known Georgia criminal defense firm and became its partner after gaining extensive experience for about 12 years before founding Fitzgerald Law. At the beginning of his legal career, he also traveled across several countries such as Japan, Korea, Australia, Bangladesh, Singapore and Thailand performing in musical concerts. Furthermore, he served as a professional trombonist in the United States Air Force.
The former vice president of the Georgia Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, Mr. Fitzgerald is the chair of the State Bar of Georgia’s Criminal Law section. He is a member of the Macon Bar Association.
