Thomas H. Hinson

Thomas H. Hinson obtained a $6 million jury verdict in August 2021 in the State Court of Gwinnett County, GA. He is a highly experienced personal injury trial lawyer who has devoted the majority of his legal career to representing the families of wrongful death victims and individuals suffering from serious injuries caused by the negligence conduct resulting in  accidents. He also skillfully pursues compensation for those with medical malpractice claims, Federal Tort Claims, State court injury and death claims and Federal Employers Liability Act (FELA) claims. In some of his recent cases, he has obtained several multimillion-dollar recoveries for his clients.

After receiving his J.D. from Mercer University in 1973, Mr. Hinson began practicing law as a felony prosecutor. For the last 40 years, however, he has leveraged his trial experience to win civil damage suits, adeptly representing people from all walks of life who have experienced catastrophic injuries through auto/truck accidents, defective products, medical malpractice and the negligence of others.

Mr. Hinson is “Of Counsel” at Westmoreland Patterson Moseley & Hinson L.L.P. in Macon, Georgia, and past president of  the William Augustus Bootle Inn of Court and the Macon Bar Association. Mr. Hinson was active in the Georgia Legal Services having served on the Board of Directors for six years. He was also an active member of the Middle Georgia Board for the Alzheimer's association for six years. Mr. Hinson has been a speaker at numerous CLE programs including GTLA and the Medical Malpractice Institute.

In addition, Mr. Hinson speaks at Georgia ICLE seminars regarding management of discovery in damage suits and the resolution of ERISA and Medicare liens.
