Ms. Young completed her undergraduate studies in 1980, graduating with her Bachelor of Arts degree magna cum laude in journalism and political science from the University of Georgia. She went on to attend the University of Georgia School of Law, where her legal acumen and talents were reinforced through her active involvement in numerous on-campus activities. She received her Juris Doctor cum laude in 1983, and in the same year, she obtained her license to practice law in Georgia.
