Diane Cherry

For more than thirty years, I have been been advising clients in family law cases. I have been an AV Preeminent peer-review rated lawyer for over 30 years and consistently earn “Superb” ratings on Avvo.com.

I earned my undergraduate degree from New York University and obtained my Juris Doctor degree from Temple University School of Law in Philadelphia. Early in my career, I moonlighted as an Adjunct Professor at John Marshall School of Law, where I taught Evidence and led a Trial Practice Team. Prior to that, I was an Instructor for Family and Business Law Courses in the Paralegal Program at Chattahoochee Technical College.

I am the founder of The Cherry Law Firm P.C., a family law law firm located in Marietta.  I bring my extensive experience to bear in each new case and deliver cost-efficient and effective legal representation in every family law case, including divorce, property division, alimony, adoption, child custody, paternity, spousal support, visitation, parental rights and post-divorce modifications. I encourage clients to use mediation and mutually respectful, good faith negotiations to resolve differences, whenever possible and appropriate.

I am a Certified Guardian Ad Litem and Instructor for the Cobb County Superior Court Family Law Workshops. I regularly take cases for the Cobb Justice Foundation, Legal Aid of Atlanta and the National Women’s Law Center. I also serve on the Board of several non-profit community organizations, including The Center for Family Resources, Georgia Alzheimer’s and Dementia Association and The Cobb Library Foundation.

I represent domestic relations clients in contested and uncontested cases in Cobb, Bartow, Cherokee, and Paulding and am known for my detailed and thorough courtroom presentations and my courtesy and professionalism inside and outside the courtroom.
