Dominic Jones

Dominic Jones is an associate attorney at Stearns‑Montgomery & Proctor at Marietta, Georgia. With over seven years of experience practicing law, he focuses his practice entirely on family law matters, including annulments, contested and uncontested divorce, high-asset divorce, adoption, alimony, child custody and support and pre- and postnuptial agreements. 

With remarkable skill in alternative dispute resolution methods such as negotiations and mediation, Mr. Jones is a dedicated and passionate attorney, fighting aggressively for his clients’ rights. Mr. Jones has a Bachelor of Science degree in business administration and management from the Xavier University of Louisiana. He obtained his Juris Doctor from the Southern University Law Center. While in law school, he was a member of the National Black Law Students Association and the Sports and Entertainment Law Association. 

Further, Mr. Jones has received certification in legal research skills by the LexisNexis certification and training program. He was director of programming and job fair coordinator in law school. Mr. Jones also served as a student attorney at the Southern University Mediation and Divorce/Domestic Violence Law Clinic, where he mediated foreclosures, consumer complaints and landlord-tenant disputes, and received certification for attending a 40-hour mediation training program by the Federal Mediation and Conciliation Services.  

Mr. Jones is admitted to practice throughout the state of Georgia and the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Georgia. With a genuine concern for his community, Mr. Jones frequently volunteers with the Cobb County Chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity Inc. as a part of the New Georgia Project, where he encourages people to vote, partakes in youth mentoring initiatives and helps distribute gifts to underprivileged families during the holiday season.
