Ophelia W. Chan

When she was 5 years old, Ms. Chan's family left her birthplace of China and immigrated to the United States, settling in New York City. After she graduated from the University of Massachusetts Amherst, she attended Georgia State University College of Law and earned her Juris Doctor. Ms. Chan started her legal career working for the Cobb County Probate Court, representing people in probate matters. She decided to make this area of law her focus.

Ms. Chan returned to the probate court in 2009 to accept a position as the chief clerk and even assisted with cases as an assistant judge. This experience gives her the ability to provide clients with an inside understanding of the probate process, empowering them to make educated decisions concerning their estate and potential health challenges. She is admitted to the Georgia Superior Courts.
