Mr. Schnatmeier was a trial attorney for felonies in the Stone Mountain Judicial Circuit before going into private practice. He was an assistant district attorney in DeKalb County. In the State Court of Cobb County, he first prosecuted cases involving driving under the influence and other offenses while serving as an Assistant Solicitor General.

Among Mr. Schnatmeier's current memberships are those of the following organizations: the State Bar of Georgia, the Cobb County Bar Association (where he served as past president), the Christian Lawyers Fellowship, the Georgia Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, the Cobb County Trial Lawyers Association, and the Georgia Trial Lawyers Association.

In addition, Mr. Schnatmeier has been selected to the Criminal Justice Reform Committee to counsel lawmakers on significant topics pertaining to the Georgia Code by the President of the State Bar of Georgia. He is an Associate Prosecutor in the Marietta and Smyrna Municipal Courts as well.
