Stephen (Steve) C. Steele is a partner at the Marietta, Georgia, law offices of Moore Ingram Johnson & Steele. A member of the firm since 1987, Steve has extensive trial experience with cases involving commercial law, criminal law and family law. He presently heads the firm’s Domestic Relations Department and for the last 15 years has focused his practice on family law cases involving divorce, property division, support and child custody issues.
Steve is a native of Charlotte, North Carolina, and a graduate of Emory University School of Law. He was admitted to the State Bar of Georgia in 1978 and spent the first nine years of his legal career working as an assistant solicitor and assistant district attorney in Cobb County. His professional honors include multiple selections for inclusion in the Georgia Super Lawyers listings published by Atlanta Magazine (2007-2012), an AV Preeminent* peer review rating through Martindale-Hubbell and recognition as one of Georgia’s “Legal Elite” by Georgia Trend Magazine in 2010.
Steve is also a fellow of the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers, a past chair of the state bar’s Family law Section (2005-2006) and the current president-elect of the Charles Longstreet Weltner Family Law Inn of Court.
