Representing clients with tenacity and precision, Michael Brill is a partner at Miller, North and Brill in McDonough, Georgia. He focuses his practice on aggressive criminal defense and complex appeals, protecting individuals facing high-stakes allegations ranging from DUIs, marijuana and drug offenses, violent crimes, sex offenses, kidnapping, and white collar charges. With deep courtroom insight, he tirelessly defends constitutional rights, navigates rehabilitation pathways and secures suitable outcomes statewide.
Mr. Brill built his strong foundation through a traditional liberal arts education at Georgia College, studying political science and rhetoric. Graduating in 2010, he earned his Juris Doctor from Atlanta’s John Marshall Law School in 2013, distinguishing himself on the mock trial team and Student Bar Association. Entering practice in the same year, he immediately immersed himself in high-stakes civil and domestic trial litigation, honing sharp courtroom mechanics, meticulous preparation and client-first advocacy.
His true calling emerged when Mr. Brill made the transition to indigent criminal defense, serving as a dedicated public defender across major circuits, including Georgia’s busiest judicial system. Daily immersion in high-volume, intense courtrooms sharpened his split-second decision-making, fierce negotiation skills and trial resilience under pressure. Advocating for society’s most vulnerable individuals against overwhelming odds forged him into the tenacious, battle-tested criminal defense attorney he is today, relentlessly fighting to safeguard every client’s constitutional rights and liberty.
An active member of the legal community, Mr. Brill has served as regional vice president and on the education committee for the Georgia Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers. A graduate of the association’s Bill Daniel Trial Advocacy Program and a former public defender instructor, he coordinates statewide continuing legal education programs. He also previously served as a treasurer at the Henry County Bar Association and maintains active membership in the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers and the Lawyers Club of Atlanta.
