- I served as co-counsel representing a surviving spouse and administrator of an estate in a wrongful death lawsuit against a trucking company, a construction company, and the driver of the dump truck owned by the trucking company. The decedent was killed in a head-on collision when he was hit by a dump truck being driving by an unlicensed driver who was under the influence of drugs.  The dump truck was also under-insured, carrying only a $50,000.00 liability policy which was well below the minimum required for commercial trucks in Georgia.  Through litigation, we were able to recover policy limits from both the trucking company and the construction company that contracted with the trucking company to deliver the load of material on the dump truck that hit the decedent head-on. The case settled for the policy limits for the trucking company as well as a substantial, seven-figure policy limits settlement from the construction company., 2020
- I represented client charged with malice murder/felony murder.  The client was a high school friend of the victim and traveled with another friend from out of town to a local college for the express purpose of buying marijuana from the victim.  The drug deal erupted in gunfire killing the local college student, and my client was arrested and charged with murder.  Prior to trial, the court granted multiple motions to surpress which challenged the police interrogation of the client and the search of the client's cell phone. t a jury trial, I presented the affirmative defense of self-defense and the client was acquitted of all charges., 2018
