An astute civil litigator at both the trial and appellate levels, Lee B. Carter is a partner at Rome, Georgia-based Brinson, Askew, Berry, Seigler, Richardson & Davis, LLP. Representing businesses and their owners, he provides defense counsel in complex commercial litigation involving breach of contract, data theft, and other business matters, such as claimed RICO violations. In 2005, Mr. Carter received a Bachelor of Arts magna cum laude from the University of Georgia, and he was inducted into The Phi Beta Kappa Society in that same year. Remaining in Athens, he enrolled at the University of Georgia School of Law and graduated cum laude in 2008 with his Juris Doctor. Mr. Carter was admitted to practice before all Georgia state courts in that year. He is also admitted to practice before the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Georgia, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 11th Circuit, and the Supreme Court of the United States.
Mr. Carter is a member of several legal organizations, including the Rome Bar Association and Lawyers Club of Atlanta, and he is active in his community as well. He serves as a mentor in the Berry College Integrity in Leadership program and as a Deacon in his church. Mr. Carter is a past president of the Rome-Seven Hills Rotary Club.Â
