Melody Swilling

Melody Swilling is the driving force behind the Swilling Family Law Firm, LLC, located in Roswell, Georgia. Her legal practice serves clients throughout the Atlanta metro area, assisting them with a range of family law matters, including divorce, custody, same-sex family issues, fathers' rights and mediation.

With a wealth of experience in family law, Ms. Swilling has provided skilled legal representation to numerous families in the region. However, her true passion lies in assisting those with unique family needs. Her track record of success includes helping families of diverse compositions, from those navigating complex adoptions and same-sex couples facing challenges under Georgia law to clients involved in high-asset divorce litigation and those engaged in the appeals process within the Georgia Court of Appeals and Supreme Court of Georgia.

Ms. Swilling's academic background includes a Juris Doctor degree from the Florida Coastal School of Law in Jacksonville, Florida, which she earned in 2008, and a Bachelor of Arts in Spanish from the University of Georgia, conferred in 2005. She is affiliated with various professional associations, including the Cobb County Bar Association, where she serves as the secretary of the Family Law Section, and the Atlanta Bar Association, where she is a part of the editorial board. She is also recognized as a Certified Amicable Divorce Professional with a specialty in special needs children and serves as a parent coordinator.

As a mother of two young boys, Ms. Swilling actively volunteers with iCan Shine, an organization dedicated to granting children with special needs, particularly those with autism, the independence and skills necessary to do recreational activities like swimming and cycling.

Ms. Swilling's dedication has earned her numerous honors and recognitions, including being named among Georgia Trend's Legal Elite in Family Law.
