I specialize in criminal defense. I have never practiced any other type of law and, honestly, I don’t think I ever will. My mom always tells me that ever since I was young, I hated seeing anyone being picked on and I would immediately jump to their defense. My disdain for bullies has turned into my passion for protecting people’s rights and fighting for justice. Regardless of guilt or innocence, in my opinion, each person deserves to be treated with decency and respect. Nothing is more upsetting to me than watching prosecutors take advantage of vulnerable people. Which is why I believe it is my job to make sure that police and prosecutors are lawfully doing their jobs.

My clients trust me because they know I am 100% on their side and I am dedicated to getting the best possible outcome for them. My practice is to keep my clients informed of the status of their cases. I like to discuss defense strategies and get input from my clients because I want my clients to be involved in their defense and be comfortable with the way their case is being handled. I’m not the kind of attorney that does what I think is best, regardless of how my client feels. I take my job very seriously because being responsible for someone else’s freedom is no joke. If you are looking for an experienced criminal defense attorney, who will protect you and fight for your freedom, your search is over. I am here to help.

Verdicts/Settlements:
  • Client was arrested for Theft and Possession of Firearm while Client was on First Offender Probation. The arrest was problematic and we were able to get the theft and firearm charges dismissed. We were also able to negotiate for probation to release the hold and continue Client on his First Offender probation. , 2023
  • Client was arrested for Simple Battery Family Violence. Before the case ever made it to court, we were able to negotiate a pretrial resolution where Client had to complete an online course and the case was dismissed with a record restriction. , 2023
  • Client was arrested for Armed Robbery, Aggravated Assault, and Possession of a Firearm. Despite the fact that the entire incident was captured on video, we were able to negotiate a downward departure with the State, so Client only received 5 years in confinement. , 2023
  • Client was arrested for Battery for the second time in one year, against the same person. However, the State did not have any evidence to support the charge. We were able to get the case dismissed with a record restriction, so Client continued to have a clean criminal history. , 2023
  • Client, who was a disabled veteran, was arrested for Forgery, Identity Fraud, and misdemeanor Obstruction. After completing our investigation, it was clear that Client was wrongfully arrested. Client received notice from the VA that he would lose housing and medical benefits because of the pending arrest. We were able to present our evidence to the district attorney's office and successfully get the charges dismissed, with record restriction, before Client lost his VA benefits. Client was able to stay in his home and continued to receive his medical benefits. , 2022
  • Client was arrested for Battery Family Violence and Cruelty to Children 3rd degree a few months prior to starting her last semester in nursing school. Client needed the case resolved quickly and could not have this charge on her record, or Client would not be able to finish nursing school. We were able to negotiate a quick resolution, which led to a dismissal of the charges, with a record restriction. Client was able to enroll in the last semester of nursing school without any issues. , 2022
  • Client was charged with misdemeanor sexual battery. We spent nearly two years going back and forth with the solicitor because he refused to offer my client a probated sentence, even though my client had no prior criminal history, was the primary caretaker of his two-year-old son, and would lose his job if he was sentenced to jail time. Because the solicitor's terms were very unreasonable and he refused to negotiate with the defense, we decided it would be in client's best interest to enter an open plea and leave the sentence terms to the judge's discretion. After our sentencing presentation, the judge agreed to sentence client to 12 months on probation and to suspend the 30 days in jail that the solicitor requested. Client was extremely relieved because he was able to keep his job and continue to financially support his young child. , 2022
  • Client was arrested and charged with Family Violence Battery as a result of a very incompetent investigation. Client was a successful businessman, who traveled a lot for work, and didn't have any prior criminal history. After requesting a copy of the State's evidence and announcing ready for jury trial, the State submitted a dismissal order to the court with a record restriction. Thankfully, the State didn't drag this case out for months and months, and we were able to secure a dismissal for the client within 2 months of his arraignment. , 2022
  • Client, who lived in California, was federally indicted in the Northern District of Georgia for conspiracy to possess with intent to distribute several kilograms of methamphetamine. Unfortunately, client had a prior conviction for a similar offense. Nevertheless, we were able to convince the AUSA to allow our client to turn himself in and be released on his own recognizance while we negotiated a resolution for his case. Because of the mandatory sentencing guidelines in federal court, Client was facing over 30 years in prison due to the amount of methamphetamine that was recovered. Ultimately, we were able to convince the judge to a downward departure from the guidelines and sentence client to 40 months (3.3 years) in prison, followed by mandatory supervised release for 5 years. And the Judge allowed client to travel back to California and serve his sentence there, so he could be closer to his family. Client and his family members were very happy and relieved about the outcome, especially because the government was asking for at least 10 years in prison. , 2021
  • Client, along with 3 co-defendants, was arrested and charged with two counts of felony murder, one count of attempted robbery, and one count of battery. Client was only 18 when he was arrested in 2019 and, after nearly two years of negotiations with the State, we were finally able to reach an agreement. The State dismissed both felony murder counts and client pled guilty to the attempted robbery and battery. The judge sentenced client under the First Offender Act to a total sentence of 10 years, with the first 3 years in confinement and the remainder on probation. , 2021
  • Client was arrested for Possession of Schedule I Controlled Substance, Felony Possession of Marijuana, Possession of a Firearm, and a couple of related misdemeanors. Client was facing up to 20 years in confinement; however, after negotiations with the State, Client was able to enter a negotiated plea and was sentenced to a total of 8 years on probation, which will automatically terminate after 2 years, if there are no violations. The judge agreed to sentence client under the First Offender Act, which saved client from becoming a convicted felon and losing his family business. , 2021
  • Client had an active arrest warrant for Hit and Run, which was pending for over a year. We took care of the active warrant and, after some negotiations with the State, I secured a Dismissal of the case for my Client. He was extremely happy because he would not have been able to work without an active driver's license. , 2021
  • Client was convicted for Murder, but conviction was overturned on appeal. Client had served 11 years in confinement before Client's case came back to trial court. After having two mistrials, we were able to negotiate a plea with the State for Client to serve 20 years in confinement, with credit for the 11 years served. Client entered an Alford Plea. , 2020
  • Client accidentally hit a police officer with her vehicle and left the scene. Thereafter, Client was charged with Serious Injury by Vehicle, Hit and Run, and many other traffic offenses. Client was facing 26 years in prison. She was sentenced to 2.5 years in confinement, followed by a few years on probation, all under the First Offender Act. , 2020
  • Client and father got into a physical dispute, which led to Client's arrest. A few weeks later, the same thing occurred and Client was arrested for a second time. Through negotiations with the State, Client was able to complete the diversion program and both of Client's pending domestic violence charges were dismissed and Client's record restricted, so Client could continue to be employed. , 2020
  • Client, who was an RN, hit a car while parking at the hospital, but did not realize it. Upon returning to the car after Client's shift, Client noticed damage to the car, so Client called the police to report a Hit and Run. When the police reviewed surveillance footage, it showed Client was the once that hit a parked car, without realizing it. The entire incident was captured on surveillance, so Client was charged with Hit and Run and False Report of a crime. The prosecutor agreed to dismiss False Report of a Crime and reduce the Hit and Run to a non-moving violation, so all Client had to do was pay a fine and Client's record was protected. , 2020
  • Client was under investigation for Trafficking Drugs and RICO. The State notified us that they were planing on indicting the case in the near future. However, the statute of limitations ran out, so we filed a Plea in Bar based on the statute of limitations. As a result of filing that motion, Client's pre-trial file was closed by the State and law enforcement ended their investigation., 2019
  • Client was charged with 4 counts of battery domestic violence, as a result of an altercation he had with his wife in the parking lot of a gas station, which was witnessed by a police officer. Both, client and his wife, were from out of state. After back and forth negotiations with the solicitor, Client's charges were reduced to a Disorderly Conduct and he did not have to complete any Domestic Violence programs. Client was also allowed to report to probation by phone because he still resided out of state. , 2019
  • Client, who was from out of state and a disabled veteran, was charged with possession of marijuana in Georgia. The solicitor in municipal court refused to review mitigating evidence, so we transferred to case to State court. After presenting evidence of Client's military service and disabilities, the case against him was dismissed. , 2019
  • Client was facing DUI charges, where he swerved off the road, ran through someone's yard, and hit a tree. State had Client's blood test results; however, the chain of custody was missing. After filing a Motion to Suppress, the State agreed to reduce Client's DUI to Reckless Driving and dismiss the other pending traffic violations. , 2019
  • Client was arrested and charged with a felony, for being in possession of a stolen credit card. While out on bond, he and a co-defendant were arrested for 3 counts of 2nd degree Burglary for breaking into multiple businesses and stealing cash out of the registers, in the middle of the night. Client's co-defendant ended up having to serve over a year in confinement. After presenting mitigating evidence to the prosecutor, Client's first felony was dismissed and client received boot camp, followed by First Offender probation for the burglaries. , 2019
  • Client was charged with Reckless Driving and Speeding for going 115mph in a 70mph zone. Client had a CDL and couldn't afford to lose it. Through negotiations with the State, Client's Reckless Driving charge was dismissed and his Speed was reduced, so he was able to avoid points that would have suspended his CDL. , 2019
  • Client had 2 open cases: one for DUI Drugs, Possession of Marijuana, and Failure to Yield, and the second for Driving with a Suspended License and Failure to Stop at a Stop Sign. After reviewing the body camera footage from the DUI stop and announcing ready for trial, the State offered to reduce the DUI Drugs to a Reckless Driving; a Conditional Discharge on the Possession of Marijuana; to dismiss the Failure to Yield; and a to dismiss the second case altogether. Client accepted and was sentenced to 12 months' on probation, to terminate early once she completes all the conditions. Client was extremely happy because she won't have a conviction for the possession of marijuana on her record and was able to plead no contest to the reckless driving. , 2018
  • Client indicted for Malice Murder, Felony Murder, Armed Robbery, and Aggravated Assault. After we filed a Statutory Speedy Trial Demand, the State dismissed the Malice Murder, Felony Murder, and Aggravated Assault and reduced the Armed Robbery to a Theft by Taking. Client received concurrent time with a separate, unrelated case.  , 2018
  • Client, along with 8 co-defendants, was charged with Forgery for allegedly using counterfeit dollars to pay for services. After we requested missing evidence and were preparing this case for trial, the State dismissed the case agaisnt all of the defendants. , 2017
  • Client, who lived out of the country, had 2 bench warrants from 2 old cases; one for criminal trespass and one for shoplifting. Client wanted to get the cases resolved, so he could travel back into the country. After explaining Client's situation, the State offered a PTI on the criminal trespass and a conditional discharge on the shoplifting. The client paid the agreed upon fines and both cases were closed with no convictions on Client's record.  , 2017
  • Client, along with co-defendant, was charged with Felony Theft by Receiving Stolen Property, and was facing 10 years in prison. The State alleged that Client sold a stolen gun to his co-defendant. During a sentencing hearing, co-defendant testified that Client wasn’t the person who sold the gun. After requesting the sentencing transcript and sending it to the State, the State dismissed the charges against Client. , 2017
  • Client charged with 5 counts of Felony Murder. After filing a Statutory Speedy Trial Demand, and 3 days prior to trial, the State offered to dismiss 4 counts of Felony Murder and reduce the fifth count to an Aggravated Assault. Client received 1 year in confinement (time served), followed by 9 years of probation, under the First Offender Act. , 2017
  • Client was charged with Center Lane Violation and couldn't plead guilty because that would have negative implications to a pending civil case. The State refused to dismiss the charge for months, but the night before trial was supposed to begin, the State finally offered to dismiss the violation. The Client was happy because the civil suit was not negatively impacted by the outcome. , 2017
