Lawrence A. Kohn

Focusing his practice exclusively on criminal law, Lawrence A. Kohn is a principal attorney at Kohn & Yager. From the firm's office in Atlanta, Georgia, he provides knowledgeable defense representation to clients throughout the state who have been handed misdemeanor or felony charges, and he has handled well over a thousand driving under the influence cases, often obtaining favorable results. In addition to his DUI practice, Mr. Kohn has experience in cases involving domestic violence, theft, weapons offenses, prostitution, sex crimes and assault, and he helps people who have had their drivers' licenses suspended have their privileges restored.

Mr. Kohn has been certified by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration as an instructor on the proper ways to conduct field sobriety tests. He has taken several courses on breath, blood and urine DUI tests as well, and he has furthered his knowledge in this field through his class work at the National College for DUI Defense, Inc. Mr. Kohn's peers have awarded him a 10.0 "Superb" rating through Avvo as a testament to the quality of his work.

As an undergraduate, Mr. Kohn attended Emory University in Atlanta, and he received a Bachelor of Arts in 1994. After a brief period in the financial services industry, he decided to pursue a legal education and went on to attend the Georgia State University College of Law. Mr. Kohn was awarded his Juris Doctor magna cum laude in 1998, and he has focused his practice on criminal defense throughout his career. He is admitted to practice before all Georgia state courts, and he is a member of the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers and several other legal organizations.
