Details

An experienced civil litigator, Jeff Harris is a co-founder of Harris Lowry Manton LLP. With offices in both Atlanta and Savannah, Georgia, he focuses his practice primarily on personal injury and wrongful death matters, providing representation to clients across the state who have suffered economic and noneconomic losses due to the negligence of other persons or entities. The types of cases that Mr. Harris has been involved in have arisen out of incidents involving medical malpractice, aviation accidents and defective products, among others. He has been able to obtain numerous sizable settlements and jury awards on behalf of his plaintiff clients, including an $18 million verdict in a case involving medical malpractice. At the time, that was the largest personal injury jury award in Chatham County history.

Mr. Harris also has experience in business dispute litigation. He is often asked by attorneys at other firms to handle complex trials on their behalf, and he frequently delivers presentations on litigation tactics and strategies. The respect that his colleagues have for Mr. Harris is also reflected in his receipt of a "Superb" peer review rating through Avvo, and he has been named to Georgia Trend Magazine's annual Legal Elite list.

A native of Atlanta, Mr. Harris attended the University of Georgia as an undergraduate and received a Bachelor of Arts in 1995. After obtaining a Master of Business Administration from Mercer University in 1997, he enrolled at Mercer University School of Law, where he was editor-in-chief of the Mercer Law Review before graduating first in his class and being awarded his Juris Doctor magna cum laude in 1999. Admitted to practice before all Georgia state courts, Mr. Harris is also admitted to practice before the Supreme Court of the United States.
