Attorney Profile

Taylor Haley offers individuals and businesses a single point of contact for all of their legal needs bringing in the best professionals for each situation.

Her own practice focuses on general litigation issues. She also acts as an outsourced general counsel on behalf of numerous small businesses in regards to all of their legal questions.   Her litigation practice includes business and contract litigation, real estate litigation with title insurance disputes, probate litigation matters as well as trust disputes.  She litigates in superior and state and magistrate courts throughout the state of Georgia as well as in federal courts in Georgia as well as appearing pro hac vice in other states.

She has developed an expertise in litigating over contracts, especially covenants not to compete or restrictive covenants in business settings as well as declarations and covenants for residential and commercial subdivisions and property owners associations.

My courtroom experience over the last five years has been primarily focused on hearings for emergency and interlocutory injunctive relief, discovery matters, and hearings on dispositive motions.  The cost of litigation all the way to trial, both in money and in time, prevents most cases from proceeding to trial.  Thus, the numbers I provide indicate the nature of trial (jury or non-jury) those matters were set for, but they rarely go all of the way to trial.  I welcome and encourage and seek to find ways to get my clients before a judge early in the litigation process because my experience has shown me that when the clients on both sides are exposed to the formality and academic rigor of judicial attention to their dispute in the early stages, they are more likely to rise above the petty matters and bear down on only the issues that really require and merit the cost and time of litigation.

She also handles land use and zoning matters for property owners dealing with local and state and federal government entities throughout Georgia such as local governments, Georgia Department of Revenue, Georgia Department of Natural Resources, the US Environmental Protection Agency, and US Army Corps of Engineers for wetlands issues.   She assists clients with licensing, permitting, rezoning, plats, and site plans.

She has represented public housing agencies for over twelve years and assisted with public housing units as well as Section 8 properties, handled HUD loans, conversion of public housing units through RAD, tax credit projects, as well as landlord tenant issues and leasing.

She has also represented and assisted non profits in various projects.

She also assists clients in forming businesses and corporate entities, drafting corporate formation documents as well as operating agreements and buy sell agreements between partners and shareholders.

Taylor brings intelligence, experience, and understanding to bear on all of her clients’ legal issues, no matter how large or small. It says a lot about the experience that clients have with Taylor in that both her clients and fellow attorneys are sources of repeat referrals to Taylor.
