Dedicatedly helping the people of Athens, Georgia, and North Georgia with their legal matters for the last 29-plus years, attorney Morris H. Wiltshire Jr. is the owner of the Watkinsville-based law firm Wiltshire Defense. His legal practice is exclusively committed to criminal defense, with a steadfast focus on trial advocacy, including cases involving self-defense, drug offenses, MVA, DUI, traffic violations, white collar crimes and more. In addition, he takes on high-stakes personal injury litigation matters.

Mr. Wiltshire brings a wealth of knowledge to the table, having served as a felony prosecutor and a dedicated DUI prosecutor. Furthermore, his extensive background within the realm of prosecution, coupled with his vast experience in trying numerous criminal jury trials in various courts across Georgia and the Southeast, solidifies his standing as a professional with unparalleled breadth and depth of knowledge in the legal domain.

After successfully earning his Bachelor of Arts degree cum laude in 1991 from Millsaps College in Jackson, Mr. Wiltshire proceeded to follow his passion for the legal field by enrolling in the University of Georgia School of Law. In 1994, he completed his legal education, achieving further recognition through his induction into The Order of Barristers, a prestigious accolade that underscores his exceptional proficiency in advocacy and the courtroom. While attending Millsaps College, he also held membership in the Alpha Mu Chapter of the Kappa Alpha Order.

Shortly after graduating from law school, Mr. Wiltshire obtained his license to practice law in Georgia in 1994. He subsequently accrued a wealth of professional experience by working in various legal practice settings. Notably, during his tenure as solicitor general, he assumed the leadership role in the office responsible for the prosecution of DUI offenses in Athens. Following the completion of his term as solicitor general, he transitioned to a role at the law firm in Georgia and recommenced his private legal practice. Furthermore, he serves as an affiliate attorney with the Armed Citizens Legal Defense Network.
