David A. Canale

A partner at Meriwether & Tharp, LLC, David A. Canale focuses his practice exclusively on family law matters. Working out of the firm's office in Woodstock, Georgia, he provides representation to people throughout the state. He is admitted to practice in Georgia and Louisiana.

Mr. Canale is well-versed in all divorce issues, including the division of complex assets and debts, spousal and child support, and child custody and visitation. A forceful courtroom advocate for his clients when litigation is necessary, his background in mediation and negotiations often allows him to help clients find resolution on these matters through the use of those alternative dispute resolution methods. Born and raised in New Orleans, Mr. Canale graduated from Louisiana State University with a Bachelor of Science in 1982. He graduated from Louisiana State University Paul M. Hebert Law Center and was a member of the Order of the Coif. Mr. Canale's professional affiliations include the Charles Longstreet Weltner Family Law American Inn of Court, the State Bar of Georgia (Family Law Section), the Louisiana State Bar Association, and local bar associations.
