Beginning his career as an associate attorney, he handled cases in all fields of law, including securities, real estate/condominium development, limited partnership, corporations, partnerships, construction litigation and insurance defense.

Before joining his current firm, Mr. Hamilton had served as a partner and founded his own firm. In his current position, he practices family law with an emphasis on divorce and child custody. His approach to mediation and arbitration in cases is backed by his vast experience as a certified arbitrator with the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers. He has a deep understanding of family law and has been featured in numerous American Bar Association Annual Meetings as a speaker. Mr. Hamilton has previously served as the chair of the Family Law Section of the Hawaii State Bar Association, where he is currently a member of the Board of Directors.
