Gregory L. Ryan

Gregory L. Ryan is the senior attorney and managing partner of Greg Ryan & Associates, Attorneys at Law, LLLC, in Honolulu, Hawaii, where he practices primarily family and divorce law. He represents clients throughout the Hawaiian Islands.

In his more than 20 years as an attorney, Mr. Ryan has developed substantial experience with many issues in family law, including divorce, property division, child custody, child support, adoption, guardianship, prenuptial and postnuptial agreements, and more. Earlier in his career, he served as an attorney in the U.S. Navy Judge Advocate General’s Corps, and his military experience provides him with a distinct advantage when it comes to guiding military members and their spouses through the complexities of the military divorce process.

For most family law clients, Mr. Ryan believes mediation presents the best way to resolve disputes. However, Mr. Ryan is also skilled in courtroom argument and is always prepared to fight for his clients in court if that is the way to bring them the best results under their unique set of circumstances.

Mr. Ryan earned a bachelor’s degree from Colorado Mesa University in Grand Junction, Colorado, and received his law degree from St. Mary’s University School of Law in San Antonio, Texas. He is a former business law professor at his alma mater, Colorado Mesa University, and the author of an article published in the St. Mary’s Law Journal.

As a family law attorney, Mr. Ryan stays active in various professional legal organizations. He is a member of the Hawaii State Bar Association, the Mesa County Bar Association, the Colorado Bar Association, The State Bar of California and the American Bar Association. He is admitted to practice in the courts of Hawaii, California and Colorado.
