L. Richard Fried, Jr.

A knowledgeable attorney with over 40 years of experience working with clients in matters of personal injury, L. Richard Fried, Jr. is a founding member of Cronin, Fried, Sekiya, Kekina & Fairbanks. Throughout his career as a personal injury attorney, he has obtained at least 50 settlements and verdicts over $1 million for those who have been injured as the result of another’s negligence.

Admitted to practice in Arizona and Hawaii, and before the U.S. Tax Court, the U.S. Court of International Trade, the U.S. Supreme Court, the U.S. Court of Federal Claims, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 9TH Circuit and the U.S. District Court of the Northern Mariana Islands, Mr. Fried focuses his practice on cases of products liability, medical malpractice, and automobile and aviation accidents.

Mr. Fried earned his Bachelor of Science from The University of Arizona, graduating with honors. At the University of Arizona College of Law, he then earned his LL.B. in 1966. Since then, he has won various awards and honors, including an appointment to the State of Hawaii’s Judicial Evaluation Committee and service as a delegate to the Federal District Court’s federal district judges conference.

He is counted as a current or past member of the following organizations: the American Board of Trial Advocates, the Federal Tort Liability and Military Advocacy Law and the Aviation Law sections of the Birth Trauma Litigation Group, the American Association for Justice, the Consumer Lawyers of Hawaii, the Lawyer-Pilots Bar Association, the State Bar of Arizona, the American Bar Association, the Federal Bar Association and the Hawaii State Bar Association. With extensive experience in tort law, he is a regular teacher at seminars attended by other attorneys.
