As partner at Cooper & Larsen Chartered Idaho Law Firm, Reed W. Larsen represents clients in the state of Idaho in matters of personal injury. As the attorney who tried the first of southeastern Idaho’s cases related to the Americans with Disabilities Act, he has experience  in both federal and state court in civil jury trials and has been the lead counsel on more than 60 civil jury trials during his career.

Mr. Larsen attended Brigham Young University and graduated with his undergraduate degree in 1982 He then attended the University of Idaho College of Law and earned his Juris Doctor in 1985. After serving in the Fifth Judicial District as a law clerk, he was admitted to practice in the state of Idaho and before the United States Court of Appeals for the 9th Circuit and the Shoshone-Bannock Tribal Court.

Within his personal injury practice, Mr. Larsen manages cases of Social Security Disability, railroad litigation, workers’ compensation, wrongful death litigation, catastrophic injury litigation, medical malpractice, truck accidents, motorcycle accidents and car accidents. He is a member of the Idaho Judicial Council and the former president and secretary of the Sixth District Bar Association. He was a member of Idaho Bar Commission from 2009 to 2012, serving as the Bar President from 2011- 2012.

In the Idaho Court of Appeals, the Idaho Supreme Court and the Idaho Court of Appeals for the 9th Circuit, he has argued appeals. For his high ethical standards and long list of successful results, he holds the highest peer rating possible of AV Preeminent* from Martindale-Hubbell. He is married to Carleen.  Together, they have eight (8) children and 11 grandchildren. In his time out of the office, Reed enjoys his family, grand-kids, team roping and golf.
