Jonathan Sherwell

Attorney Jonathan N. Sherwell is the founder and owner of the Law Offices of Jonathan N. Sherwell in Arlington Heights, Illinois. Serving families throughout the Chicago metropolitan area, surrounding suburbs, and neighboring counties, Mr. Sherwell devotes his practice exclusively to divorce and all areas of domestic relations and family law matters. Mr. Sherwell's practice emphasizes and promotes the dignified resolution of cases.

An attorney since 1989, Mr. Sherwell has achieved notable success helping his clients resolve their conflicts and reach agreements for all of their serious and sensitive matters regarding parenting, financial support for children, property division, maintenance and related issues. Throughout his career, he has gained extensive experience with all procedural and substantive aspects of divorce and related domestic relations matters, including negotiation, motion practice and trial advocacy. He also provides much-needed support for domestic violence victims seeking orders of protection from their abusers.

A cum laude graduate of Loyola University of Chicago, Mr. Sherwell returned to his alma mater and attended Loyola University of Chicago School of Law. He obtained his Juris Doctor and was admitted to practice in Illinois in 1989. Upon receiving his license to practice, Mr. Sherwell joined another prominent Arlington Heights law firm, honing his legal skills for years before becoming a partner in 1998. In 2004, he established his own practice in order to better serve the needs of his clients.

A consummate professional, Mr. Sherwell is active in a number of local and state bar associations; and he has served as chair of the Northwest Suburban Bar Association Matrimonial Law Committee. Regarded as a leader in his field, he routinely conducts lectures and continuing legal education seminars across his region on a variety of topics related to domestic relations and family law.
