Shauna M. Martin

An attorney at Martin Law, LLC, since January 2019, Shauna M. Martin focuses her practice exclusively on personal injury and wrongful death litigation. Born and raised in Illinois, she is located in the firm’s main office in Arlington Heights, and she represents clients throughout much of the greater Chicago metropolitan area, including Cook, McHenry, and Lake counties.

Prior to joining Martin Law, LLC, Ms. Martin was a partner at a well-known firm in the Chicago area that represented defendants and their liability insurance providers in the same types of actions that she now handles on behalf of plaintiffs. This experience has given her valuable insights into the kinds of trial tactics that she can expect to face when going up against insurance companies. The types of cases that Ms. Martin has worked on have included such instances of medical malpractice as surgical errors and misdiagnoses, premises liability, defective products, sexual assault, nursing home neglect and abuse, and motor vehicle crashes.

Since becoming a plaintiff’s attorney, Ms. Martin has been able to obtain significant amounts of compensation through jury awards and negotiated settlements for her clients who have been harmed due to the negligence or recklessness of other parties. Her successful track record in and out of the courtroom has earned her an “Excellent” peer review rating through Avvo along with many other honors.

Ms. Martin is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Madison, where she majored in political science and received a Bachelor of Arts in 2006. She then enrolled at Loyola University Chicago School of Law, and in 2010, she obtained her Juris Doctor with honors. Ms. Martin is admitted to practice in Illinois and before the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois.
