David E. Camic

Attorney David E. Camic is a founding partner of the Camic Johnson, Ltd., law firm, which has four office locations throughout the greater Chicago metro region. A 1982 graduate of Aurora University, Mr. Camic attended John Marshall Law School in Chicago, where he obtained his Juris Doctor cum laude in 1987. The Illinois State Bar Association admitted him to practice that same year, and the New York State Bar Association admitted him in 1996. He is also admitted to practice before the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 7th Circuit and the U.S. Supreme Court.

Widely regarded as a leader in his field, Mr. Camic has written extensively and conducted lectures and seminars across his region on a variety of topics, and he has instructed classes on criminal law and criminal procedures at several colleges in his area. Mr. Camic also holds the distinction of having one of the shortest jury acquittals in Illinois, which occurred inside seven minutes.

A consummate professional, Mr. Camic is highly active in his legal community, and he once served as president for the Kane County Bar Association. He also served as chair for the Illinois State Bar Association Criminal Justice Section Council.
