Dominic J. Buttitta, Jr.

Handling both criminal and civil litigation matters, Dominic J. Buttitta Jr. is the founder and managing attorney of the Buttitta Law Group, LLC. He is passionate about serving people throughout Illinois in cases ranging from criminal/DUI charges to family law issues. While he always strives to reach the best possible outcome, he is an honest attorney who manages his clients’ expectations and avoids sugar-coating the truth.

A former prosecutor, Mr. Buttitta has extensive experience in the courtroom. He is admitted to practice before the Wisconsin Supreme Court, the Illinois Supreme Court and the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois. In both state and federal courts, he has tried more than 50 cases to verdict. Outside trial, Mr. Buttitta is an exceptional negotiator. He understands that avoiding litigation is often the best approach to finding a solution for issues such as divorce or property distribution.

Mr. Buttitta is trained in both the International Association of Chiefs of Police and the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration’s field sobriety testing and DWI detection. He knows how to uncover illegal searches, faulty evidence and law enforcement error in order to secure case dismissals and dropped charges.

After earning a Bachelor of Science in finance from Miami University, Mr. Buttitta went on to receive a Masters of Business Administration from Dominican University. He also holds a Juris Doctor from the Valparaiso University Law School.
