Mr. Bresney completed his undergraduate studies in 1992, graduating with his Bachelor of Science degree in public administration and business administration from Illinois State University. He went on to attend the Chicago-Kent College of Law at the Illinois Institute of Technology, and during his time there, he was part of the Chicago-Kent National Mock Trial Team and was actively involved in the Criminal Defense Clinic. Furthermore, he was included in the dean’s list.
After receiving his Juris Doctor in 1996, Mr. Bresney obtained his license to practice law in Illinois the same year. He was later admitted to practice before the United States District Courts for the Northern and Central Districts of Illinois, and the United States Federal Courts. For the decades of efforts he has contributed to his legal community, he has been included in the Top 100 Trial Lawyers list by the National Trial Lawyers. He has tried over 100 cases to verdict across Illinois and in numerous other states.
