Over the course of his career, Mr. Riback has represented hundreds of union workers from the construction industry. In one issue in which an electrician slipped on oil while on the job, injuring his knee, Mr. Riback secured a $1.32 million settlement. In another case, he recovered $1 million on behalf of a worker who slipped on hydraulic fluid, snow and ice at a construction site, tearing a ligament in his knee. He has been instrumental in obtaining millions of dollars for Hispanic day laborers on construction sites.

These are just a few of the examples of Mr. Riback’s ability to procure awards on behalf of clients. For such accomplishments, he holds an Avvo “Superb” rating; the Chicago Daily Law Bulletin named him in its list of 40 Illinois Attorneys Under 40 to Watch, and he has been listed in Leading Lawyers.

When he is not advocating for clients, Mr. Riback teaches at the National Institute for Trial Advocacy. He also serves as an adjunct professor at the Northwestern University Pritzker School of Law and coaches their mock trial team, which has won championships a number of times.

In 1990, Mr. Riback earned a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. He then graduated with a Juris Doctor from the Chicago-Kent College of Law, Illinois Institute of Technology, in 1994. While in law school, he participated in moot court competitions.
