Ajay Gupta

A vehement advocate for his clients in their contentious legal matters, Ajay Gupta has been consistent in providing deft legal representation throughout his 25-plus years of practice with grace and poise. Serving as of counsel at the Moore Tax Law Group LLC in Chicago, Illinois, he is well-equipped to handle all aspects of tax law and criminal law, and serves residents throughout the surrounding region and beyond.

After completing his undergraduate studies at the University of Delhi, Mr. Gupta moved to the United States, where education was his key priority. He graduated with a Master of Business Administration degree in 1990 from the Yale University School of Management, his Juris Doctor cum laude in 1993 from Harvard Law School and his Master of Arts degree in economics in 1997 from Stanford University. Even after creating an impactful legal career, he never stopped his journey of learning. In 2010, he graduated with his Master of Laws degree in tax law/taxation from the New York University School of Law.

Mr. Gupta is licensed to practice law across numerous states, including California, Illinois, Florida and Texas. His sharp legal talent and prowess have earned him numerous positions of prominence across both public and private legal spaces. Some of the notable work he has been involved in includes serving as a special assistant  attorney for the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Georgia, prosecuting violent and white collar crimes, and working as an attorney-adviser for the United States Tax Court in Washington, D.C.

In addition, Mr. Gupta firmly believes in helping law students at the university level, in order to give them every chance to unlock their full potential. He has been an adjunct professor for numerous law schools, including the University of Houston Law Center, the Illinois Institute of Technology Chicago-Kent School of Law and the DePaul University College of Law.
