Alfredo Tovar

Alfredo Tovar joined Sherwood Law Group as an associate attorney in November of 2018. 
 
Alfredo focuses his practice in the areas of real estate, general litigation, corporate litigation, and other corporate matters. During his time at Sherwood Law Group, Alfredo has represented a multitude of clients in all types of residential and commercial real estate transactions, including real estate closings, short sales, leasing, and loan agreements. He has also spearheaded several lawsuits in claims related to landlord/tenant disputes, property damage, foreclosure, breach of contract, collections, corporate fraud, and other commercial litigation. Alfredo enjoys the challenge of intricate legal questions and approaches every matter with an open mind and a willingness to learn. He keeps an open channel of communication with all of his clients and believes that being a well-rounded attorney allows him to effectively educate his clients and assist them in achieving the best outcome. 
 
Alfredo graduated from Dominican University in 2013, earning a degree in Political Science with a concentration in Law. He went on to obtain his law degree from DePaul University’s College of Law in May 2018. While in law school, Alfredo enjoyed success in various transactions courses, earning a certificate in business law and a "CALI Award" as the top student in his Real Estate Transactions course. Additionally, as a 711 student, Alfredo participated in the Civil Litigation Clinic at DePaul, where he represented elderly clients facing eviction.
