Allyson West

Allyson West, a distinguished attorney at Hale & Monico, brings a wealth of experience and skill to her practice in civil rights litigation. She addresses myriad cases spanning sexual abuse, malicious prosecution, police brutality and excessive force, prisoner abuse, wrongful conviction, illegal searches and seizures, housing discrimination, denial of due process and more.

Prior to joining the firm, Ms. West honed her skills across various areas of civil litigation, including insurance defense and medical malpractice. However, it was her extensive work defending Cook County in civil rights and malicious prosecution claims that solidified her reputation as a tenacious advocate for justice.

With an impressive track record of over 40 jury trials and successful arguments before the United States Court of Appeals for the 7th Circuit, Ms. West's prowess in the courtroom is undeniable. Her most recent role as Deputy Supervisor of the Civil Rights/Torts Litigation Section at the Cook County State Attorney’s Office further attests to her leadership and strategic acumen.

Ms. West's commitment to excellence is reflected in her education, having obtained her B.A. from Indiana University (2009) and her J.D. from the University of Dayton School of Law (2012). Admitted to the Illinois Bar in 2012, she is also licensed to practice in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois.
