I am an Associate Attorney with Amin Talati Wasserman, LLP working in the trademarks group. My practice focuses on trademark preparation and prosecution, dealing with the full spectrum of trademark clearance, application, registration, and maintenance both domestically and internationally. • Responsible for filing 80 new trademark applications in 2022 after bringing in domestic and international rollouts of 10+ trademarks from 2019-2021
• Responsible for individually signing five new clients, including handling of onboarding and trademark needs
• Successfully settled multiple international oppositions while collaborating with international agents
• Strategize with agents regarding international trademarks, including personally filing 20+ applications, using Canada’s expedited review system for clients, and handling international clearance, registration, and maintenance
• Assist with several client acquisitions while personally maintaining trademark portfolios and filing both domestic and international trademark assignments to new owners
• Run preliminary and full trademark searches for trademark clearance using TESS, TSDR, and trademark search agencies
• Prepare, file, monitor, and report on federal and international trademark applications for a variety of clients mainly in the food, beverage, and cosmetics industries, including US states which have legalized hemp and CBD-based trademarks
• Respond to Office Actions, file Sections 8 and 15 Declarations of Use and Incontestability, file Sections 8 and 9 Renewals for trademark registrations, and handle various other communications, maintenance, and filings before the USPTO regarding various trademarks
• Run and report on use investigations for use in potential cancellation procedures, cease and desist letters, and other enforcement matters
