Aurora Abella-Austriaco concentrates her practice in the areas of real estate and construction litigation, mechanic's liens, defense of mortgage foreclosure, mortgage fraud-plaintiff, title insurance claims, and other special chancery remedy cases. With over 24 years of experience representing corporations, business owners and individuals, she is a big advocate of giving back to the community, by providing pro bono legal services to the underserved and by getting involved in the legal community. Aurora is past President of the Chicago Bar Association and is the first Asian American elected to that post. Aurora was named one of  "100 Women of Influence" in 2013 by Today's Chicago Woman.  She is a recipient of  the CBA Alliance for Women Alta Mae Hulett Award, 2009 recipient of CBA Vanguard Award,  recipient of the CLEO Award; recipient of the "10 Outstanding Filipino Businessmen" by Philippine Chamber of Commerce.

She currently serves as a Commissioner to the Illinois Courts Commission and serves as  an elected board Member of Maine Township District 207. She currently serves as state delegate to the  ABA House of Delegates and just got elected as President of the National Conference of Bar Presidents.  She served as Past President of the Illinois Real Estate Lawyers Association, the  Maine South Hawkettes Booster Board, and the Asian American Institute n/k/a Asian Americans Advancing Justice.  She served as a Commissioner for the Park Ridge Planning and Zoning Commission as well as Commissioner for the Cook County Human Rights Commission. She is a fellow of Leadership Greater Chicago, a member of the Economic Club and an Edgars Fellow. 

Aurora was just recently appointed by Chief Judge Rebecca Pallmeyer to serve on the Racial Justice Diversity Committee of the Northern District of Illinois.
