Carla D. Fiessinger

Carla D. Fiessinger is a partner at Monahan Law Group, LLC. She represents clients from Chicago, Illinois, and throughout the nation in cases of estate planning, with a focus on mental health. These practice areas may include special needs planning, risk management, real estate, probate and estate administration, litigation and appeals, landlord-tenant disputes, health care law, guardianship, elder law, and community-based services.

With a Bachelor of Science in biology, Ms. Fiessinger graduated cum laude from Indiana University. She then attended law school at Loyola University School of Law, where she once again graduated cum laude, this time with her Juris Doctor. At Loyola University Elder Law Clinic, she was a graduate teacher. Admitted to practice in the state of Illinois, she is also admitted to practice before the Supreme Court of the United States of America.

Ms. Fiessinger has been intrinsically involved with The Chicago Bar Association. Currently an active member, she was also chair or vice-chair of the Probate Practice Committee, the Elder Law Committee, and the Mental Health and Disability Law Committee. She is a member of the Illinois State Bar Association and the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys, and a former Fellow for the pro bono Guardian ad Litem Project.

As a pro bono guardian ad litem in guardianship cases for Chicago Volunteer Legal Services, she actively gives back to her community on a regular basis. Ms. Fiessinger also served the community through her work as a former member of the Misericordia Young Professionals Board. She has taught many seminars and classes for The Chicago Bar Association.
