Honored for his professionalism and outstanding contributions to his field, Mr. Rose received the Exemplary Service to Education Award from the Illinois Association of School Administrators in 2011 and the Franklin E. Kameny and Dr. Lilli M. Vincenz Awards from the U.S. Department of Education that same year. He has also received the Champion of Public Education Award and the Vision in Education Award, and he has received consistent top rankings and endorsements from his peers.
A 1979 cum laude graduate of Villanova University with a Bachelor of Arts in economics, Mr. Rose obtained his Juris Doctor from DePaul University College of Law in 1982. He is admitted to practice in the District of Columbia as well as Illinois, and he is a member of several local, state and national legal organizations, including a fellow with The College of Labor and Employment Lawyers. He also served on the board of directors and the board of trustees of various civic, educational and charitable organizations in his region.
