Daniel Ebner

Daniel Ebner is an attorney and partner at Prather Ebner LLP in Chicago, Illinois. Mr. Ebner represents beneficiaries, nonprofit organizations, shareholders and trustees in litigation matters involving breach of fiduciary duty, trusts and wills. Additionally, he represents fiduciaries in guardianships, probate matters and uncontested trust administrations. He serves a wide client base throughout the Chicago metropolitan area.

Mr. Ebner has been practicing law for over 15 years. He provides committed and thoughtful representation, advising his clients on the many complex aspects of their legal situations. He is adept at negotiating the best possible resolution for a client’s situation but is ready to argue persuasively in the courtroom when trial becomes necessary.

Committed to professional education, Mr. Ebner is an author and speaker on various legal topics. He serves as a presenter for the American Bar Association Real Property, Trusts and Estate Law Section and edits a publication for the Litigation Section. He has taught courses at DePaul University College of Law and Chicago-Kent College of Law. 

Mr. Ebner is a fellow in the American College of Trust and Estate Counsel and chairs the Illinois State Bar Association Standing Committee on Professional Conduct. He also belongs to the Lambda Legal National Leadership Council.

After graduating summa cum laude with a bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering from Case Western Reserve University, Mr. Ebner earned his law degree from Harvard Law School. Following law school, he spent a year clerking for a U.S. District Court for the Western District of Tennessee judge and practicing at a private firm before joining Prather Ebner LLP.
