Danylo Terleckyj

An attorney at the law firm of Powell & Pisman, PLLC, Danylo Terleckyj devotes the entirety of his practice to plaintiff personal injury cases. Determined to fight for the rights and best interests of those injured due to the reckless, negligent or unlawful actions of others, he has provided services to the people of Illinois for more than 12 years. On behalf of his clients, he appears for a wide array of cases, including those involving:

• Pedestrian accidents and hit-and-runs
• Slip-and-falls
• Sexual abuse
• Medical malpractice
• Nursing home abuse
• Wrongful death

Subsequent to completing his bachelor’s degree in English from Wayne State University, Mr. Terleckyj enrolled at the Wayne State University Law School in Detroit, Michigan, to pursue his legal education. He obtained his Juris Doctor degree in 2009 and served as an appellate intern at the Wayne County Prosecutor’s Office. 

Born in an immigrant family of autoworkers, Mr. Terleckyj has developed a genuine concern for the residents of his community who are battling legal issues. As a student attorney, he volunteered to participate in the Detroit Free Legal Aid Clinic, where he handled a number of family law cases. He also took part in the Chicago Bar Association’s DUI Summary Suspension Volunteer Program and was a volunteer with Legal Aid.

Fluent in English and Ukrainian, Mr. Terleckyj obtained his license to practice in Illinois in 2010. He is also qualified to appear before the United States District Court for the Northern, Central and Southern Districts of Illinois.
