Founder of Lakelaw, a legal practice based in Chicago, Illinois, attorney David P. Leibowitz is an experienced legal professional with close to half a century of experience. Focusing his practice solely on bankruptcy law, he represents individuals, organizations and entrepreneurs throughout Chicago, Northwestern Indiana and Southern Wisconsin. He is proficient in handling both consumer bankruptcy and business matters.

With his profound understanding of Chapter 7 law, Mr. Leibowitz additionally serves as a Chapter 7 trustee for the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois. In his long course of career, he has worked with a wide range of clientele and has handled bankruptcy matters encompassing a broad spectrum of complexities and intricacies. He has also served as a mediator and has helped many of his clients reach an amicable resolution outside of the courtroom.
