Dena M. Singer is an accomplished criminal defense litigator and a partner at the law firm of Bedi & Singer, LLP. She is a seasoned trial lawyer, having won numerous bench and jury trials. She has successfully defended clients against a wide range of charges such as:

Ms. Singer is a dedicated member of bar associations and has chaired the Criminal Law Committee of the Women's Bar Association of Illinois. She actively mentors young women in the legal profession through the Women Everywhere program. In a remarkable achievement, the Illinois Supreme Court selected her in 2023 to serve on the Supreme Court Committee on Jury Instructions in criminal cases.
Known for her outstanding legal work, Ms. Singer has received the Excellence in Pro Bono Service Award twice, given by the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois and the Chicago Chapter of the Federal Bar Association. Every year since 2017, she has been recognized as a Leading Lawyer by the Law Bulletin Media and named among the Notable Women in Law by Crain's Chicago Business.
After receiving her Bachelor of Applied Science degree with distinction from the University of Michigan in 1999, Ms. Singer obtained her J.D. from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 2002. She is licensed to practice law in Illinois, Wisconsin, the U.S. District Court for the Northern and Southern Districts of Illinois, the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Indiana, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 7th Circuit and the U.S. Supreme Court.
